Scratch Card Gender Reveal - Tutorial

Materials:
* Silver Paint (Mine was cheap stuff from Michaels)
* Liquid Dish Soap
* Laminate Paper

 To start I cut my circles out on my Cricut, but if you don't want to spend the time cutting circles you could place a rectangle of the laminate paper over the portion of the card that you want scratch paint on.
* If you are using my card template, the circles are 1 1/2".

I found the mixing ratio over at ArtMind. They mixed 2 parts paint to 1 part dish liquid. When I did it, it ended up being more like 3 parts paint one part dish liquid. So just test it out...It's probably depends on how thick your paint is to start with.

After I had a good consistency with my paint, I painted my laminate circles. Don't worry the first coat looks thin (like it's not going to work). Let the first coat dry completely and then paint a second coat, it should cover great (If your still a little worried it's not dark enough, keep adding coats).
* I ended up adding a few drops of dark blue paint to my mixture to darken it (so you won't have to paint as many coats).

When the paint has dried completely, peel off the backing of the laminate paper and cover your circles.

Now your ready to scratch away!

Lately I have been excitedly making scratch cards to share the news about our sweet little babe.
Stay tuned for the tutorial.

The cards are in the mail, so as soon as the beans have been spilt to our family and friends I'll be back to reveal the whole card!

Exciting news and all!

Boys Valentine's Card

I realize that it is actually Valentine's Day so most people have their cards send out already, but maybe you can pin it for next years Valentine's card.

Just copy the picture below and slide your own picture into the template. Simple as that.

Here's a few mustache choices we found on google images. I printed the mustache I wanted but I wanted it a little thicker than it was, so I glued it to some textured black fabric and cut it out. (I wish I would have had fuzzy black fabric...that would have been funny!)

I also added the stick for my son to hold onto it, only because he wasn't liking it taped to his face.

Valentine's Brownies

We're not huge sugar cookie fans around our house. I love eating them when you actually have a good soft sugar cookie recipe, but it's a LONG process by the time you get them all frosted.
My mom send a little Valentine's package with cookie cutters and sprinkles and my son was so excited to use them....so we just switched up the treat we would be decorating.

We used a box mix and before we put the brownies in the oven we sprinkled the batter. (We also mixed them in the batter, but after they were cooked you couldn't actually tell they were in there.) We cooked our's in a 9X13 so the brownies would be thin enough to cut out with the cookie cutters.

If your in a rush and still want a cute Valentine's treat, just throw in a box of brownies and your set.

Heart Garland

Next time you walk past the paint department, make sure you grab yourself a few paint sample cards...there perfect for simple little crafts!

I Laid the sample cards across your cricut mat and cut away.

Once you have all your hearts cut out pull out a needle and thread and string them all together....seriously takes about 10 min. to finish the entire garland.

Isn't little miss Emmeline adorable, I would love to get this Valentine in the mail!

Prop or decoration, they will be perfect for any occasion!
Next time I'm at the store I definitely grabbing shades of green for a four leaf clover garland.

HAPPY {almost} VALENTINE'S DAY!

Valentines Banner

Besides the fact that I never actually took a cute picture of the banner...here it is!

And here's the templates I used to cute it out on my Cricut, with Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL).

(The circle I didn't end up using, but if you want another circle inside the scalloped circle, that's what it was meant for.)

Right click the images, save them to your computer, then upload them into as an image into SCAL.
