Little Girls Dress

I’ve been feeling a little girl deprived over here so I decided I needed to make something super girlie. And what’s girlier than a dress!

Pattern found here
Size 24 Months
I had some black scrunchy/ruffled fabric lying around that was screaming make me into something adorable, so that I did.

So I now have a super cute girlie dress, and know one to wear it It’s a good thing I have a super cute girlie niece that will look adorable in this dress.

I sure hope my little Bree-Bee likes it. Actually, I just hope it fits!

Frame Remodel - Bathroom Edition

It’s official, my walls have run out of room…it’s a good thing were moving! As I walked in the door the other day frame in hand, Skyler looked at me with a rather disappointed face and said, “ Another frame, we don’t have room for another frame”. So I promised I would think of something to do with it for the extra bathroom our new place has, he was OK with that and let me keep it!

(He's so sweet to put up with me and my D.I. junk)

There are so many ways I can decorate a new bathroom, where to begin... I decided to stick with every fun bright color to get me started. I thought the teeth theme was rather fitting so here is what I came up with.

The pictures don’t do this frame justice; in real life it’s BIG, BULKY, & BEAUTIFUL! (You should see the thing)

Little Boys Bow Tie

How handsome is this little man, I mean really do they get much cuter than this?

I saw these adorable bow ties and decided Preston definitely needed one for Easter. So I found some cute fabric and whipped one up. After I finished it I put it on Preston just to see if it fit, and sure enough it did. I realized how cute it was and decided it couldn’t wait for Easter, so he wore it to church the next day! I guess I’ll just have to make him a new one for Easter, and for every other outfit to match! Hopefully I can find Skyler a matching tie so my boys look super cute together in there new spring ties.

When I found out I was having I boy I thought to myself, there are no cute things you can make for boysyou can’t make bows, dresses, headbands, I could go on. Who was I kidding? There are tons of things you can make for boys, and I’m bound to make them all!

Little Boy Tie

I decided that Preston needed another tie because his bow tie that I made last week ended up looking super cute.

I still had some fabric leftover from the bow tie (but he can't have two of the same ties), so we switched things up! A real tie this time, and looking cute as ever. There's just something about a little man in a tie that is so adorable!

Clearly you can tell he didn’t want any more pictures taken, he was just teasing me!

Shelf Makeover

I had this shelf that my mom had for years & years that my dad made. She gave it to me last time I was home, It’s a beautiful shelf don’t get me wrong but I thought it could use a little makeover.
It was a simple project but I had to carry on my tradition, and I was VERY pleased, and even more pleased that is cost me a whole ... $ FREE.99 for a new BEAUTIFUL shelf!!

Mini Cork Board

I was walking through my second favorite store in town (the D.I. of course), and found an awesome old frame that I thought would be perfect for a project. It just so happen to be my friend Caitlin’s birthday on Monday so I thought I would make her a gift that you wouldn’t normally get.

I failed to take a before picture this time, but trust me it was ugly. So I slapped some black paint on it, threw in a sheet of cork, some super cute paper, made some adorable thumb tacks and I had myself a really cute cork board. I also found this neat little memo box with sheets of paper in it, so I decorated it to match and we were good to go! I was sad that I was giving it away but super excited as well, I’ll just have to make myself one now!
